X Factor Finalists Help For Heroes Charity Single - not the greatest of songs...but who cares!

Unless you have been living on the Moon for the last week or so you will be aware that The X Factor has done something rather surprising and rather good.  They have released a single with ALL (my understanding) profits going to a very worthy charity.

The single has been recorded for Help for Heroes, a charity that provides support for wounded servicemen and women.  You should be able to buy the single through our Sending to Soldiers Shop here (it is coming in and out of stock all the time).  Buy it there...buy it anywhere....but buy one or several!

Send a drumkit to BFPO (sort of!)

Sending cakes and puddings to a BFPO address

Many of you will enjoy making your own biscuits and cakes to put in a parcel to send to someone at a BFPO address.  You can also now order cakes to be delivered to a BFPO destination courtesy of Cakes Direct.  You can visit their website here.

Tea cakes, chocolate cakes and even Christmas puddings are on sale.  Their 'delivery' page says the following with regard to BFPO delivery:

'We can and have delivered to any BFPO address for one price of £8.00 P&P. We have delivered to navy ships in the middle of the ocean before and the cake has still arrived in good condition and been thoroughly enjoyed by the recipient on their birthday. What could be nicer when you are away from home then to receive a cake letting them know that you are thinking of them.'

We have not used this cake service ourselves, but have had positive feedback from friends who have.

Another gift idea for soldiers - handy little plants

Pet Plants are the latest craze to hit the UK. They are lots of fun to grow and an excellent way to remember loved ones.

Help for Heroes wristbands - available for UK and BFPO delivery

We have been asked to give a mention to The Sun/Help for Heroes campaign.  We are happy to do so.
